Todd E. Gaul was born in New York but quickly moved to southeast Asia where his parents were stationed. After living there for the next 8 years, Todd and his family moved back to the D.C. area. Graduating from Elon University, back when it was a college... he took several years to travel but could not resist the charms of North Carolina and soon returned. Currently, Todd resides in Carrboro, North Carolina.

Todd began working in television where he developed his eye for good shooting as well as his sense of timing when it came to capturing events. Still photography soon became a hobby then a way of life photographing both on the streets and in the studio. Todd's work has been seen in various publications as well as in local galleries and openings.
